It’s time to register for the International Competition 2016!
Come to the ALOHA International Competition and test your skills with the best ALOHA students in the world wherein students from more than 30 countries are invited to participate.
We are preparing for a big celebration where there will be lots of fun, surprises and recognition for everyone. Registration will be open until the 24th of May, 2016.
It’s really easy to register for the event. There are only 3 steps:

2. Pay the fee in advance to confirm the registration
3. Pack your bags!!!

Yogyakarta:
This is the capital city of the Yogyakarta Special Region in Central Java, Indonesia and also known as Jogja or Yogya. The city is named after the Indian city of Ayodhya from the Ramayana epic. Yogya means “suitable, fit, proper”, and karta means, “prosperous, flourishing” i.e a city that is fit to prosper. This is the only city in Indonesia that is still governed by a King. This means that the governor should be the King of the Kingdom and pass through the descendant.
Yogyakarta is one of Indonesia’s most-visited cities in spite of its relatively small size because of its proximity to the Borobudur and Prambanan temples, and because of the Javanese court Kraton culture of Kraton Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta has become an important tourist destination in Indonesia. Most tourists come to Yogyakarta as an accommodation base to visit Borobudur and Prambanan.
Some places you must visit in Yogyakarta are:
- Borodudur: Is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world, and was built in the 8th and 9th centuries AD during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty. It is formed by nine platforms (six square and three circular) and topped by a central dome surrounded by 72 Buddha statues.
- Prambanan: Built in the 10th century, dedicated to Lord Shiva, 11 miles northeast from Yogyakarta. Parmbanan, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest temple in Indonesia.
- The Kraton Palace: is a grand complex that was metic- ulously planned to reflect the Javanese cosmos.
- Malioboro street: the most popular street in Yogya and Indonesia! The street that sells local crafts and souvenirs, and delicious dishes of local cuisine.
Gastronomy
Indonesian cuisine is one of the most vibrant and colorful cuisines in the world, full of intense flavor.
- Soto: is a traditional Indonesian soup mainly composed of broth, meat and vegetables.
- Gudeg: It is made from young unripe jackfruit boiled for several hours with palm sugar, and coconut milk. It is served with steamed rice, tofu or tempeh, and chicken in coconut milk or boiled egg.
- Nasi Goreng: Considered Indonesia’s national dish, this take on Asian fried rice is often made with sweet, thick soy sauce called kecap (pronounced ketchup) and garnished with acar, pickled cucumber and carrots.
- Es Campur: This fantastic multi-colored drink contains coconut flesh, tape (fermented cassava), syrup, water, ice and coconut milk.
